01.Information We Collect
We collect only the information you explicitly provide when using the platform. This includes:
- Email address — required for account registration and used as the primary contact method when you select email as your preference for dealer outreach.
- Phone number — optional, provided only when you select phone or either as your contact preference.
- Request details — brand, model, condition, fuel type, price range, city, country, and any notes you include in a car request.
02.How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to operate and improve the platform:
- Matching your car request to dealer listings and surfacing external results.
- Facilitating dealer contact through your selected preference (email or phone).
- Saving your requests and preferences for your dashboard and future sessions.
03.Data Processor and Hosting
Carviano uses Supabase as its database provider and authentication system. Your account data, request details, and preferences are stored on Supabase infrastructure, which serves as our data processor. Supabase is SOC 2 compliant and encrypts data in transit and at rest.
04.Third-Party Services
Carviano uses the following third-party services in processing your requests:
- SerpApi — used as a fallback to search for dealers when no direct match exists in our internal database. Your search query (brand and location) is sent to SerpApi; no personal identifiers are included.
- Resend — used for transactional email delivery where applicable.
Carviano does not send your data to any LLM or AI processing service. The request matching flow uses structured form fields only and does not call OpenRouter or similar services.
05.Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Correction — update or correct your account information through your dashboard settings.
